About the role

Ochsner is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical‑Surgical unit on the OMC Jeff Hwy campus to work night shifts. The RN will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold the highest standards of practice.

Key responsibilities

Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and staff.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to drive optimal outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
