Registered Nurse – Infusion Clinic (FWCC)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the Infusion Clinic, applying the Nursing Process and adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and Ochsner’s philosophy of nursing. The RN will lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high‑quality outcomes for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the infusion setting.
• Assess learning needs and deliver tailored education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Analyze clinical data and use evidence‑based practice to drive improvements and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and Ochsner’s privacy and safety policies.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Louisiana and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• No prior work experience required; entry‑level candidates are encouraged.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Experience using Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software packages.
• Effective verbal and written communication for clear presentation of information.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to prioritize patient care tasks.
