Registered Nurse – Flexible Schedule

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for a flexible, 12‑hour shift schedule at its Muhlenberg location. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Deliver patient and family education throughout the treatment course to support safe transitions of care.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and performance improvement processes.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the med‑surg unit and utilize technology to enhance care delivery.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns, delegating tasks based on skill and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient assignments in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
• Basic computer skills for documentation and use of clinical technology.
