Registered Nurse – Flexible Night Shift

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a flexible Registered Nurse for night shift work at its Muhlenberg location. The RN will provide professional nursing care, manage patient assignments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, coordinating with physicians and team members.
• Deliver patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient care assignments.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and nursing ethics.
