Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to performance improvement processes.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support transitions of care.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the cardiac cath lab and incorporate technology to optimize care delivery.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns, delegating tasks based on team expertise and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver patient care effectively.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the specialty and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology in patient care.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (PA) upon hire.
