Regional Semiconductor Principal

About the role

HDR is looking for a client development lead for its TMT and Semiconductor market, to join the NE Building Engineering Services practice. The role covers client relationship building, annual planning support, leading pursuits and overseeing project teams across semiconductor projects for premier clients in the Northeast region. It focuses on marketing, winning projects and delivering value using HDR's integrated services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture client relationships from pre-positioning through project execution and beyond
• Maintain an active presence in the Semiconductor market and drive growth and sales
• Identify new opportunities and lead strategy for client and pursuit capture planning
• Champion pursuits and proposal responses, helping identify team members and support technical write-ups
• Support work plans and fee development with technical discipline management
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and regional market initiatives
• Serve as Project Manager/Director on projects, potentially leading concurrent projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Support contract preparation, negotiation and award, and oversee client expectations for quality, cost and schedule
• Maintain client relations after project completion and partner with production managers on core teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 15 years of related experience
• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
• Preferred: Master's degree, existing client network, experience managing diverse teams

Required skills

• MS Office and MS Project (Access experience is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
