Regional Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Regional Maintenance Manager partners with the Maintenance and Operations Team to ensure all equipment across three fleet locations meets company and DOT requirements. This role oversees maintenance, repairs, procurement, and inventory for owned, leased, and rented assets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist fleet managers with routine and preventative maintenance for company‑owned and leased equipment.
• Manage the Maintenance Department budget, outside service contracts, tire program, parts inventory, warranties, and damaged equipment claims.
• Track and report fuel costs by terminal, product, discount, card usage, and location.
• Utilize technology to monitor staff performance, increase warranty coverage, and meet OEM cost‑per‑mile targets.
• Plan and track maintenance for all regional units, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and present ROI to leadership.
• Monitor third‑party vendors, set KPI metrics, and ensure quality, timeliness, and pricing.
• Support lease‑versus‑purchase analysis with tax and accounting implications.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate equipment files, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements.
• Drive continuous improvement, process innovation, and employee training on safety and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensed Certified Mechanic.
• Minimum 8 years hands‑on heavy‑truck maintenance experience.
• At least 5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial maintenance role.
