Regional Facilities Manager (Residential)

About the role

The Residential Regional Facilities Manager will lead maintenance operations, capital projects, and asset preservation for multi‑family and mixed‑use properties across our portfolio. This senior position combines leadership, technical expertise, and construction management to protect and enhance long‑term property value.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance, capital improvement programs, and overall asset preservation.
• Review, approve, and monitor purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts for budget compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and asset records, ensuring all building systems are inventoried and serviced.
• Develop, update, and implement company‑wide facilities policies and best practices.
• Negotiate bulk contracts for supplies and services in partnership with regional property teams.
• Plan, budget, and manage annual capital improvement projects, including renovations and infrastructure upgrades.
• Track change orders and adjust budgets and forecasts accordingly.
• Build and maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality workmanship.
• Support professional development, coaching, and performance management of maintenance teams.
• Manage on‑call rotation schedules and provide technical support for complex issues such as major water line breaks or system failures.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license.
• 7+ years of experience in multi‑family or mixed‑use property management, construction, facilities management, or capital project oversight.
• Background as a Construction Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar role.
