Recruiting Coordinator

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking an energetic, organized Recruiting Coordinator to support full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding of caregivers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You will work closely with People Operations, clinical leadership, and scheduling teams to align hiring efforts with staffing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage candidate pipelines for caregiving, nursing, clinical, and administrative positions.
• Post and update job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
• Source candidates through job boards, community partnerships, schools, workforce programs, and hiring events.
• Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
• Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Coordinate pre‑employment requirements, background checks, credential verification, and HRIS onboarding.
• Assist with new‑employee orientation, competency validation, and training compliance.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment metrics, career fairs, and employee retention projects.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of recruiting, HR, healthcare, or customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention‑to‑detail.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously.
• Reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Experience with general computer applications and ability to learn EHR, HRIS, and applicant‑tracking systems.
