Recruiter – Build Talent Engine for Real Estate Brokerage

About the role

Story Homes is a fast‑growing wholesale real‑estate brokerage looking for a driven Recruiter to build its talent engine from the ground up. As the first dedicated recruiter, you will own the full recruiting lifecycle for high‑performing real‑estate agents who work as 1099 independent contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively source, engage, and pipeline real‑estate agent talent across Southern California and beyond.
• Hit quarterly hiring targets of 10+ agents per quarter.
• Conduct phone screens, assess hard and soft skills, and build detailed candidate profiles.
• Coordinate interviews, keep candidates engaged, and manage requisitions in the ATS.
• Own and manage the recruiting budget across advertising and sourcing channels.
• Provide data‑driven pipeline reports and reduce time‑to‑fill to under 30 days.
• Report weekly to the Operations Manager on pipeline health, conversion rates, and channel performance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of recruiting or talent‑acquisition experience with a proven track record.
• Experience recruiting commission‑only or 1099 independent contractors in real‑estate, insurance, or similar sales environments.
• Full‑cycle recruiting expertise from sourcing through offer.
• Ability to evaluate candidate fit and produce clear hard/soft‑skill breakdowns.
• Experience managing a recruiting budget.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ATS platforms, preferably Workable.
