Radiologic Technologist - Weekend Program - FT - Nights 4 x 10s - Friday-Monday

About the role

Ochsner seeks a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join its weekend program, working nights on a 4 × 10 schedule from Friday to Monday. The role involves assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures while adhering to safety protocols and providing mentorship to junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiographic equipment independently, including placement of tubes and administration of contrast.
• Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Complete quality control procedures and address any regulatory issues.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication and behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• No prior experience required; radiologic technology experience is preferred.
• ARRT registration or eligibility within 90 days of employment and a current unrestricted state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and travel between facilities.
