Quality Product Support Engineer

About the role

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is hiring a Quality Product Support Engineer (PSE) for its Anderson, SC facility. The PSE acts as the voice of the customer and leads cross-functional continuous improvement projects in the Outdoor Products division. The role requires global travel.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer experience data to identify product improvement opportunities and ensure they are implemented in current and new products.
• Review metric data regularly to spot issues, trends and improvement opportunities from the customer perspective.
• Prepare and present quality data and analysis results to product development teams, and lead regular cross-functional meetings.
• Conduct root cause analysis (8D / 5 Why) and support supplier quality across new parts, improvements and corrective actions.
• Inspect and analyze components and products for conformance to specifications, write inspection instructions, perform system audits and update procedures and equipment.
• Research, develop and revise quality policies, procedures, system instructions, process control plans and work instructions.
• Apply statistical methods such as gauge R & R, design of experiments and statistical process control to quality issues.

Required profile

• BS or BA or equivalent engineering experience, or a 2-year degree with up to 5 years of quality experience.
• Ability to travel globally (up to 30%).
• Physical ability to sit at a desk for long periods and to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Required skills

• Statistical process control and AQL sampling; knowledge of GD&T and gauging methods is preferred.
• QMS knowledge (e.g. ISO 9001) and audit and control plan creation experience preferred.
• Design of experiments, life data analysis and statistical software (Minitab, Reliasoft, JMP) exposure preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI skills a plus.
• Written and verbal communication and creative problem solving; power tool experience preferred.
