About the role
The Quality Intern will support the Quality Engineering group at HydraForce, focusing on inspection, testing, and continuous improvement projects during the summer of 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma and Lean tools.
- Perform hydraulic testing, failure analysis, and valve troubleshooting.
- Support inspection, sorting, fixture design, and assembly activities.
- Conduct measurement system analysis and maintain supplier corrective action database.
- Create and update documentation such as control plans, FMEAs, work instructions, and process flows.
Required profile
- Enrolled in an engineering undergraduate or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Required skills
- Six Sigma, Lean methodologies
- Advanced Excel (MiniTab preferred)
- Statistical analysis and measurement systems knowledge
- Basic 3D modeling (CNC programming a plus)
- Hydraulic testing and valve assembly/disassembly
