Quality Engineer

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards for complex electro‑mechanical systems used in autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs). You will work closely with engineering and production teams to drive risk‑based quality decisions that support on‑time delivery while maintaining safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality‑assurance protocols for manufacturing processes.
• Serve as the primary quality representative on the production/integration floor.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to boost product quality and efficiency.
• Establish clear, repeatable inspection plans for Quality Inspectors.
• Provide in‑process disposition approvals for non‑conforming issues, ensuring alignment with design intent and standards.
• Partner with technicians and engineers to resolve issues quickly.
• Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and deliver actionable insights.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using structured methods.
• Review engineering drawings, models and specifications and support changes through the ECO/DCO process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Ocean Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of engineering experience, preferably in aerospace, defense or maritime applications.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
