Application Engineer

About the role

As an Application Engineer at 3M, you will collaborate with global teams to drive product adoption and support new product launches, acting as the technical liaison for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical representative for end‑users, leveraging product performance knowledge, competitive landscape insights, and standards compliance.
• Build and leverage a global network of engineers and scientists to influence and prioritize application development.
• Support new product launches by validating customer needs, standards compliance, and product performance testing.
• Lead customer technical interactions to uncover electrical requirements and deliver technical training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physical Sciences or related).
• Experience in OEM (Transformer, E‑Motors), Auto‑E (Battery, E‑Motors) or electrical supplies in private, public, government or military environments.
• Proven ability to work in a customer‑facing role or laboratory setting.
• Working knowledge of UL, ASTM and similar agency standards.
