QA Analyst & Automation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a versatile QA Analyst & Automation Specialist to join our quality assurance team at University of Maryland Global Campus. The role blends manual testing expertise with automation development to ensure high‑quality SaaS and integrated applications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript) and Java‑based frameworks for UI and API validation.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across SaaS platforms and backend systems.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with demos and walkthroughs for stakeholders.
• Build scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct API testing with Postman, validate data using SQL, and ensure compliance with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Create performance tests with JMeter for UI and APIs.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development and product teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5–7 years of QA experience covering both manual and automation testing.
• Proven ability to develop frameworks, support UAT, and test SaaS applications.

Required skills

• Java‑based automation frameworks.
• Playwright with TypeScript.
• API testing tools (Postman) and SQL for backend validation.
• Performance testing with JMeter.
• CI/CD integration (Git).
• Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint, OpenAPI, Swagger.
• Version control and command‑line execution of test scripts.
• Defect tracking and test management tools.
• Experience with OnBase workflows and DocuSign (plus).
