About the role

The Department of Economic and Social Affairs is offering a two‑month Public Administration Internship in New York, starting 2 November 2026. The role supports research and administrative tasks related to public service delivery, innovation, and digital government.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct research on public administration, sustainable development, and digital government topics.
  • Assist in organizing conferences and meetings, including logistical support.
  • Help draft analytical documents and prepare research reports.
  • Support information management by populating and maintaining databases.

Required profile

  • Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Field of study closely related to public administration, public policy, or a similar area.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or another UN language is an advantage.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Ability to design surveys and polls (desirable).
