Property Risk Engineering Consultant

About the role

Zurich’s Risk Engineering Property South Team is looking for a Property Risk Engineering Consultant to provide field risk engineering services for large, highly protected property accounts. This is a remote‑first position based in North Carolina with significant travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide field risk engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
• Develop and implement customer service strategies that reduce loss and improve operations.
• Support underwriting by attending client and broker meetings.
• Perform on‑site engineering services for larger locations and prospects.
• Deliver advanced consultative services, identifying high‑loss exposures and investigating major losses.
• Assist in marketing Zurich risk‑transfer products alongside underwriting and agents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years (or high school diploma with 5+ years) of property risk engineering experience, or senior level with 6+ years (or 8+ years with high school).
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
