About the role

The Project Superintendent leads all on‑site electrical construction activities for mission‑critical and data‑center projects, from mobilization through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance while providing direct leadership to field personnel and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project milestones.
  • Develop and execute short‑interval plans, look‑ahead schedules, and manpower forecasts.
  • Enforce safety policies, OSHA standards, and site‑specific requirements, fostering a proactive safety culture.
  • Interpret and enforce compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, local codes).
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and other trades to resolve conflicts and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Monitor productivity, track progress, and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and budget.
  • Lead daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and subcontractor alignment meetings.
  • Support QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Manage material delivery, site logistics, and maintain accurate field documentation.

Required profile

  • HS Diploma/GED; technical or construction‑related degree preferred.
  • Valid Electrical License (Journeyman or Master) preferred.
  • 8–12 years of recent electrical construction experience, including 1–3 years in a superintendent or lead supervisory role.
  • Direct experience on data‑center or mission‑critical projects strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
  • Valid motor‑vehicle operator’s license.
  • Successful pre‑employment background, MVR, and drug testing.

Required skills

  • Electrical License (Journeyman or Master level).
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes.
  • Understanding of critical power configurations (N, N+1, 2N).
  • Ability to read complex electrical drawings, specifications, and BIM coordination documents.
  • Experience with construction sequencing, scheduling, and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
