Project Manager – Healthcare Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will be based in the Nashville, Tennessee area and serve as Cref's local Planning, Design & Construction presence. The role leads a hospital expansion and other healthcare construction projects from planning through operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on oversight of multiple new‑construction and renovation healthcare projects, managing all phases from initiation to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, risk registers, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, commissioning agents, and vendors.
• Administer contracts, resolve conflicts, and proactively address risks and issues.
• Support Cref’s growth in the Nashville market by strengthening local industry relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Required profile

• Five or more years of experience in healthcare planning, architecture, construction, or hospital capital project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple capital projects of varying size and complexity in a large organization.
• Demonstrated success working independently in a local market while collaborating with a geographically distributed team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FGI Guidelines, The Joint Commission standards, state health department licensing requirements, OSHA, NFPA, ADA, and applicable building codes.
• Strong technical understanding of building systems, constructability, and infrastructure.
