Project Manager – Grant‑Funded Fiber Deployment

About the role

As a Project Manager at Stimulus Technologies, you will own grant‑funded fiber deployment projects from design kickoff through construction and final network turnover. You will ensure projects meet aggressive schedules while complying with state and federal grant requirements and maintaining public accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master project schedules covering design, permitting, construction, installation, testing and turnover.
• Coordinate dependencies among engineering firms, construction contractors and in‑house crews to prevent delays.
• Track grant‑mandated milestones, reporting deadlines and reimbursement eligibility.
• Manage scope changes, evaluate cost and schedule impacts, and control change requests.
• Monitor performance of engineering and construction partners against statements of work, contracts and budgets.
• Prepare budget forecasts, track actual costs, and report variances.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings, define roles and communication cadences, and enforce accountability across all stakeholders.
• Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably grant‑funded fiber or telecom deployments.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, permitting processes and network turnover procedures.
• Ability to balance competing priorities, enforce contract terms and maintain strict budgetary control.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating engineering firms, contractors, internal teams and clients.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on compliance, risk management and financial accountability.
