About the role
Dematic, a Kion Group company, seeks a senior‑level Project Director to lead large‑scale ($100M+) projects across the United States and Canada. The role involves close interaction with executive leadership and requires extensive travel.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Contract Manager, Project Controller, Lead Engineer and core team to translate customer requirements into defined scope and tasks.
- Ensure project tasks are completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage all customer communications, documentation and deliverables, including functional design specifications and acceptance test plans.
- Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, risk and opportunity management, and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Coordinate handover to Customer Service and ensure smooth project close‑out.
Required profile
- Proven track record managing multiple large‑scale projects ($100M+) with successful delivery.
- Experience collaborating with site managers and EHS&S groups to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Strong ability to conduct project assessments, capture lessons learned and produce final close‑out reports.
- Demonstrated competence in risk mitigation, stakeholder management and team leadership.
