Project Assessor (FCA) – Field Assessment Specialist

About the role

The Project Assessor leads building assessment projects across the United States, ensuring compliance with ASTM standards and client scopes. This field‑based role requires extensive travel to client sites and the preparation of detailed technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site building assessments, including Property Condition Assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Facility Condition Assessments, and related services.
• Gather measurements, photographs, and interview data to identify deficiencies and estimate repair costs.
• Prepare accurate written reports using computers, tablets, or other electronic devices, incorporating field notes, photos, and client‑specific requirements.
• Communicate project status and issues to leadership, ensuring timely delivery of reports.
• Review property records, repair histories, and regulatory documents to support assessments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of building construction, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and industry standards.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 90% of the time) and stay on‑site for up to two weeks.
• Excellent written communication skills for report preparation and client interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using project‑management tools such as Quire and AssetCalc.
• Ability to operate a tablet or similar device for live data collection in the field.
• Competence in word processing, spreadsheet software, and general computer operation.
