Professor – Design School Leadership

About the role

The institution is seeking a senior academic leader to shape its reputation as a premier design school. This professor will drive brand building, faculty excellence, and industry collaboration while residing on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to establish the school as a strong brand and top design institution.
• Develop and engage a high‑performing faculty team.
• Maintain active industry networking and organize fortnightly industry‑interface forums.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define student selection benchmarks and batch quality standards.
• Monitor curriculum design trends and advance pedagogical practices.
• Create long‑term systems and processes for institutional success.
• Design KPIs/KRAs to evaluate faculty productivity.
• Perform any additional duties as required by the school.

Required profile

• Ph.D. from a reputed institute (preferable).
• Minimum 10 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, with at least 5 years at Associate Professor level or 13 years overall.
• Strong management and leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Solid research background.
• Willingness to reside on campus (approximately 90 km from Hyderabad).
