About the role
The Transfer Advisor guides students at Cossatot Community College through the process of transferring to four‑year institutions. This role ensures students understand articulation agreements, meet transfer requirements, and are prepared for successful transitions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one advising to students planning to transfer.
- Develop individualized transfer plans and monitor progress.
- Coordinate with faculty and staff to align curricula with transfer pathways.
- Organize workshops and informational sessions on transfer opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student advising activities.
- Stay current on university transfer policies and articulation agreements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience in academic advising or student services preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transfer processes within the University of Arkansas System.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external institutions.
