Production Supervisor

About the role

The Plant Supervisor leads day‑to‑day performance of rubber compression molding, extrusion and Sphere operations across two shifts, ensuring safe, on‑time, right‑first‑time production while driving efficiency and reducing scrap.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily production to meet schedule, volume and delivery commitments.
• Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), labor efficiency and equipment utilization.
• Reduce changeover and cycle times through standard work and process optimization.
• Partner with Maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and support preventive maintenance.
• Lead scrap reduction initiatives, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement counter‑measures.
• Supervise, coach and hold accountable two Shift Leads and develop a cross‑training matrix for operators.
• Champion safety, enforce OSHA policies and maintain 5S housekeeping standards.
• Ensure compliance with Hultec quality standards, conduct inspections and support audits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years manufacturing experience, including 2+ years supervising multi‑shift teams.
• Hands‑on experience with rubber compression molding and/or rubber extrusion.
• Working knowledge of OEE, scrap tracking and root‑cause problem solving.
• Understanding of OSHA safety requirements, lockout/tagout and machine guarding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and ERP/MES production systems.
• Strong communication, coaching and conflict‑resolution abilities.
