Production Area Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Production Area Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations for our Care Chemicals division in the Greenville area, SC. The role focuses on safety, compliance, team development and operational excellence while executing the production plan.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a strong safety culture by promoting risk reduction, ensuring EHS compliance and supporting emergency response.
• Conduct routine area tours to verify safe operations, adherence to procedures and high housekeeping standards.
• Lead manufacturing shifts, maintaining direct accountability for all functions within the assigned area.
• Coach and develop operators, oversee training for new hires, existing staff and contractors.
• Maintain accurate systems, reporting and documentation (AIM, MOC, SAP, batch records) to support compliance.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance, including wastewater, stormwater and RCRA programs.
• Reinforce operational discipline, accountability and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably at least 2 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work an 8‑hour day shift, Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend on‑call duties.
• Safety‑conscious with knowledge of handling corrosive, flammable and explosive chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail, results‑oriented and able to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment.
• Process hazard analysis (PHA) and management of change (MOC).
• Root cause analysis and incident investigation.
• Handling of corrosive, flammable and explosive materials.
• Quality control procedures.
