Product Principal - Customer Experience

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Product Principal focused on Customer Experience. The role connects strategies and defines scope across multiple product teams and domains, driving business value to increase sales, improve efficiency and raise customer satisfaction through quality products. It works closely with Product Directors and functional program leaders, guides in-depth business reviews and presents to all levels of the organization. It typically reports to a Director and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Delivery and execution (10%): coordinate Distinguished Engineers, User Experience Principals and impacted teams so the path to scope is known and aligned, and review product work against company, stakeholder and end-user priorities.
• Strategy and planning (60%): partner with a cross-functional program or technology portfolio, cascade context up to leadership and strategy down to teams using OKRs, lead cross-functional discovery with UX Principals and engineers, sequence activities and provide a holistic roadmap with dependencies.
• Team and stakeholders (30%): represent the portfolio in enterprise planning, foster collaboration across teams, manage expectations and educate requesters on prioritization based on benefits and user experience.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 2+ years of previous leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job preferred.
• Typical working conditions: mostly sitting indoors, occasional lifting of light items, and 5-20% overnight travel.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software such as PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and explain complex ideas simply to diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
