Product Communications Lead

About the role

Blockchain.com is looking for an experienced Product Communications Lead in New York to shape its product innovation, regulatory strength and technology story. You will manage communications and content around the product announcement pipeline, innovation narrative, licensing wins and technology thought leadership across the consumer and institutional portfolio, and lead the earned (PR) and owned media strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Narrative and strategy: build and run a differentiated product and technology comms strategy at the intersection of consumer and institutional products, AI and regulatory/compliance.
• Product launch comms: own end-to-end comms for a full pipeline of launches, working with Marketing and Product so campaigns are supported by comms-led work.
• Regulatory comms: lead announcements of licensing, regulatory and compliance milestones and contribute to the wider regulatory and policy conversation.
• AI positioning: define and champion Blockchain.com's position on AI and tell the story of how AI improves internal and customer-facing products.
• Media and influencer relations: own key press and influencer relationships and proactive and reactive opportunities across product and technical topics.
• Thought leadership: build platforms for product, technical and AI spokespeople, including speaking engagements, award submissions and executive social presence.
• Content creation: write product-focused blog posts, press releases and executive social posts.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience leading branches of a crypto, DeFi, fintech or adjacent comms program.
• Deep crypto literacy and an aptitude for learning about the business, product and regulatory roadmap.
• Proven track record of announcing complex technical products and turning them into simple, high-impact value propositions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Strategy, Legal and Compliance.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, high-judgment environment where market conditions change daily.

Nice to have

• Existing crypto industry media and influencer relationships.
• Experience with comms on trading products, derivatives, options, perps, prediction markets, etc.
• Experience with regulatory, licensing or policy content.
