Director, Strategy

About the role

PHM, the leading health media agency in the US, is hiring a Director, Strategy in New York. The role defines the day-to-day management of client needs and leads the daily work of the Strategy team, reporting to the Director, Strategy or VP, Strategy. The Director manages several accounts, oversees media strategy and plans, and works closely with clients and internal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a key client lead overseeing media strategy and provide initial feedback on media strategies, timelines and deliverables with other teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of media channels in a plan and deepen expertise in media research tools.
• Support the VP, Strategy and other senior leaders in planning.
• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports, including onboarding, performance management, training processes and tools, workload delegation and coaching toward client and agency goals.
• Oversee the media strategy, approach and plan on each account, including the media channel mix and initial budget allocation and rationale.
• Build a daily relationship with clients on assigned brands and help shape their marketing priorities.
• Represent the interests of other capability teams in client and agency meetings and collaborate internally to align deliverables with client needs.
• Promote continuous improvement of self, team and client deliverables, and drive organic growth on the account, possibly assisting with new business.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of media planning experience.
• 2+ years of recent HCP Media Strategy experience.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• 2+ years of cross-channel media planning experience.

What we offer

• Pay range of USD 129,485 to USD 207,324 per year, depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
