About the role
Join MAPFRE as a Product Analyst and help shape property & casualty insurance products for the Northern Northeast region. You will turn data into insights, influence pricing and product strategy, and partner across the business to drive profitable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze profitability, growth trends and performance drivers across states and agencies to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop data‑backed recommendations for pricing, underwriting and product changes and present them to leadership.
- Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, IT, Marketing, Legal and Operations to bring product changes to market.
- Lead rate and product reviews, evaluating internal data, competitor positioning and market trends.
- Monitor regulatory updates, collaborate with Legal on filings and manage state filing timelines.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for IT and support testing.
- Use Excel, Snowflake or SAS to analyze data and uncover insights.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of relevant experience (or 4–6 years with an associate degree).
- Experience supporting Personal Lines Insurance products, especially Auto or Homeowner’s.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a solid understanding of profitability and forecasting.
- Experience working with data (Excel required; Snowflake/SAS a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of insurance pricing/actuarial concepts preferred.
- Progress toward industry designations (CPCU, ARM, AU) is a plus.
