Procurement Specialist – Mechanical & Process

About the role

SourceBlue is seeking a Procurement Specialist focused on mechanical and process equipment to support project delivery across its construction portfolio. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, developing clear scopes of work, and managing the competitive bidding process to secure the best value for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute SourceBlue’s competitive bid procurement process, including RFQ/RFP creation, bid management, and evaluation.
• Develop, refine, and finalize scopes of work for assigned procurement packages.
• Receive, analyze, and tabulate supplier proposals; manage bid clarifications, revisions, and Best and Final Offers.
• Prepare Recommendation of Award (ROA) documentation with assumptions, qualifications, and approved alternates.
• Submit purchase order requests in line with approved ROAs and department procedures.
• Participate in project team meetings to align procurement activities with schedule and budget.
• Escalate technical, commercial, or schedule issues to the Procurement supervisor.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives within the procurement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of procurement experience in construction or related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with mechanical or process equipment procurement is preferred.
