Maintenance Technician – The Sudbury

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Sudbury property in Boston. The role involves ensuring that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The technician will also support cost‑cutting initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of amenities and comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Willingness to work onsite and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Ability to work with vendors and contractors as needed.
