Procurement Manager
Ever · San Francisco
Job description
About the role
Ever is building a modern, customer-focused, technology-enabled EV retail platform and is expanding into new markets. It needs a disciplined procurement function that equips each location to launch successfully and operate efficiently. The Procurement Manager leads procurement, vendor coordination and purchasing strategy across Sales and Recon operations, partnering with Expansion, Operations, Recon, Sales, Finance and Accounting from early planning and vendor sourcing through purchasing, delivery and site readiness. The role also strengthens the vendor network, reduces costs and standardizes purchasing between launches.
Key responsibilities
- Own procurement planning and execution for new Sales and Recon locations, including site-specific equipment, tool, supply and inventory requirements, and purchasing plans aligned with launch timelines.
- Place and track purchase orders, coordinate deliveries and installations, and identify long lead items and procurement risks early.
- Source, evaluate and onboard vendors, obtain and compare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage vendor performance and delivery timelines.
- Manage purchasing within approved budgets, track committed, ordered, received and outstanding spend, and partner with Finance and Accounting on budgets, invoices and approvals.
- Establish standard equipment, tool and supply packages, maintain inventory levels, set reorder points and build a procurement playbook.
- Travel to launch locations as needed to support procurement and onsite readiness.
Required profile
- Three or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, vendor management, operations or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple vendors, purchase orders, budgets and delivery timelines.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills, and strong analytical skills for comparing pricing and evaluating vendors.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, and comfortable building processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Preferred: experience supporting automotive, retail, construction, facilities or multi-site operations, and experience supporting new site openings or expansion programs.
