Process Engineer – EPC Projects

About the role

The Process Engineer will lead the development and delivery of process engineering design packages for major EPC projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and hydraulic calculations.
• Specify and size equipment, prepare data sheets, and support bid package development.
• Coordinate with clients, project management, and other disciplines to ensure integrated delivery.
• Provide field support during construction, startup, and commissioning, including troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 5–30+ years of progressive process engineering experience in EPC or plant environments.
• Experience in pulp & paper, chemical, manufacturing or power facilities is strongly preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred or ability to obtain.

Required skills

• Process simulation software: Aspen Plus, HYSYS, AFT Fathom/Arrow.
• Design tools: AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, MicroStation.
• Development of PFDs, P&IDs, mass & energy balances, hydraulic calculations.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, NFPA, OSHA codes and standards.
