Private Tax Senior Manager – Japanese Business Network

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Private Tax practice within the Japanese Business Network. You will act as a strategic advisor, guiding multinational clients through complex tax compliance and planning challenges while driving innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large, cross‑border tax projects and design process improvements for operational excellence.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to define objectives, deliver high‑quality outcomes, and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Provide thought‑leadership on tax strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory changes affecting Japanese‑related businesses.
• Coach and develop junior team members, fostering a high‑performing, inclusive environment.
• Maintain adherence to PwC technical standards, code of conduct, and independence requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in private tax compliance and advisory, preferably with exposure to Japanese tax regimes.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver results under ambiguity.
• Strong judgment, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.
