Principal Corporate Strategy Consultant

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Principal Corporate Strategy Consultant in Chicago, Illinois. The role suits an emerging expert in strategy-related and/or transformation activities who is a growing leader on the team without direct reports. The consultant supports leadership by delivering projects on strategy development, planning and implementation to drive growth, improve the affordability of products and services and transform the operating model enabled by technology. It is a flex (hybrid) position: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or MBA, with 7 years of general industry experience or 3 years of consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm.
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced, evolving organization and manage multiple complex priorities.
• Preferred: advanced degree such as MBA, MHA, MD, JD or PhD.
• Preferred: healthcare industry experience, especially in health insurance.
• Preferred: experience with corporate strategy, growth, product, transformation efforts, technology enablement or business case development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of corporate strategy and/or transformation core skill sets, including formulating, planning and implementing strategy and transformation efforts.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis, insight generation and recommendation-making.
• Critical thinking and problem solving, and project management of complex projects with some oversight.
• Collaboration across a matrixed environment and effective verbal, written and visual communication.

What we offer

• Base pay range of $112,200 to $202,600, varying with skills, experience and location.
