Primary Care Outpatient Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a primary care outpatient physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Patients are seen in the office and hospital rounding is required. New graduates and experienced physicians are both considered.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely, accurate and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), the center's office-based EMR
• Prescribe medication or therapy when necessary and recommend lifestyle changes to improve quality of life
• Explain medical procedures and test results thoroughly and give patients a plan of care
• Consult with other doctors about each patient's needs and participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics
• Serve on the hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
• Work to improve patient satisfaction scores and team goals, and take part in business development and marketing

Required profile

• MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Understanding of the physician practice environment and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Physical demands: frequent lifting of patients and heavy equipment, pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, stay detail-oriented and handle stress
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, TB/PPD surveillance program and maintenance of professional license or certification
