Porter/Driver – Material Handling & Vehicle Operations

About the role

The Porter/Driver will support Saronic Technologies’ production and operations by safely moving materials, towing boats and trailers, and operating heavy‑capacity forklifts. This onsite position in Austin ensures timely deliveries and pickups while maintaining strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Transport materials between company sites and designated locations.
• Safely tow and maneuver boats and trailers as required.
• Operate forklifts, including heavy‑capacity (up to 30 K lb) units, to move and position goods.
• Pick up and deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to and from vendors.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
• Secure, document, and handle materials during transport.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform basic inspections of vehicles, forklifts, and trailers.
• Follow company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating forklifts, including large‑capacity (30 K) models.
• Ability to tow boats and trailers safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform occasional manual tasks.
