Porter/Dishwasher In‑School – No Weekends, No Nights

About the role

Red Rabbit is seeking a reliable Porter/Dishwasher to work in‑school kitchen facilities, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am‑3:00 pm. The role supports a team of 4‑6 staff to keep the kitchen clean, safe, and ready for daily meal production.

Key responsibilities

• Clean all kitchen areas—including countertops, cooking equipment, walk‑in refrigerators, floors, hand sinks, dishes, and storage—to exceed Department of Health standards.
• Remove trash, cardboard, and compost promptly, ensuring a debris‑free environment for food preparation.
• Set up the kitchen team for meal production each day and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commissary kitchen.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and move around the kitchen.
• Reliable, team‑oriented, and able to work calmly in a fast‑moving environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
