Food Service Coordinator – In‑School (No Nights/Weekends/Holidays)

About the role

Red Rabbit is seeking a detail‑oriented Food Service Coordinator to manage daily school meal operations. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will act as the bridge between the kitchen team and school partners, ensuring meals are served accurately, safely, and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service, portioning, staging, and presentation to meet NSLP requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized service line and monitor food safety, temperature, and sanitation.
• Track accurate meal counts and operational records, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Serve as the liaison between kitchen staff and school partners, communicating updates and resolving operational concerns.
• Support compliance with USDA NSLP standards, company policies, and allergy protocols.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in an operational or administrative role supporting cross‑functional teams.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and customer‑service skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and lift 50 lb regularly.
• Passion for improving nutrition in schools and commitment to social‑justice values.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Basic computer systems knowledge.
