PLC Automation Programmer

About the role

Rinvio is seeking a PLC Automation Programmer to provide programming, troubleshooting, and support for PLC and HMI systems in industrial and manufacturing environments around Cedar Rapids, IA. This full‑time position involves on‑site plant support with variable schedules and overtime as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC/HMI systems in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Diagnose automation issues involving sensors, I/O, drives, controls, networks, and production equipment.
• Modify logic, support commissioning/start‑up, and improve equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, ladder logic, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and vendors to resolve controls‑related problems.

Required profile

• Experience in PLC programming, automation, controls, or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or comparable PLC/HMI platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with controls, sensors, drives, I/O, networks, and production equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, ladder logic, control drawings, and technical documentation.
• Reliable transportation to the Cedar Rapids area and ability to complete site onboarding requirements.
