Physician - Sports Medicine Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sports Medicine Surgeon to join the Kenner Orthopedics team. The position involves a mix of clinic and operating‑room work, supporting athletes and patients with sports‑related injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient sports‑medicine clinic care five days a week in the Kenner Orthopedics facility.
• Perform 1–2 days of orthopedic surgery in the operating room as demand allows, working alongside a dedicated APP.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sports Medicine.
• Ability to balance clinic responsibilities with surgical cases and collaborate with multi‑specialty teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic health‑record system.
• Competence in sports‑medicine surgical techniques and orthopedic procedures.
