About the role

The position combines clinical rheumatology practice at Ochsner Medical Center with supervision of fellows and participation in inpatient rheumatology consultation services. It also offers a clinician‑investigator track with protected research time and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

Provide outpatient and inpatient rheumatology care, including consultation services.
Supervise rheumatology fellows and collaborate with other staff rheumatologists.
Develop and conduct clinical research, including study design, grant applications, and manuscript preparation.
Participate in multicenter trials and investigator‑initiated studies.
Engage in multidisciplinary collaborations with nephrology, pulmonary, cardiology, and dermatology.

Required profile

Board‑certified rheumatologist with clinical experience.
Strong interest in an academic and research career.
Ability to mentor fellows and work in a collaborative team environment.
