Physical Therapist Assistant - Per Diem Offsite Clinics

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for its offsite clinics on a per diem basis. The PTA works under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to carry out the physical therapy plan of care.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the physical therapy plan of care as designed by the Physical Therapist
• Assist in supervising Rehab Aide personnel
• Communicate patient progress to the Physical Therapist regarding the plan of care
• Document patient care in line with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and the work area in a safe and clean condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an A.S. degree
• Licensed in the State of Florida to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• American Heart Association BLS certification for health care providers
• Ability to stand or sit for 2 hours or more per day; OSHA Category II exposure to blood-borne pathogens, with protective equipment as appropriate

The role also requires completing annual threshold requirements, including the Joint Commission mandatory training.
