Pharmacist – Infusion

About the role

The Infusion Pharmacist joins Lehigh Valley Health Network to fill and dispense prescription orders, ensure safe medication use, and supervise technical staff in a high‑performing health system.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee clinical activities in assigned infusion areas, maintaining safe and effective patient care.
• Supervise IV technicians, verify labeling, documentation accuracy, product selection, and compounding technique.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, counsel patients, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and case managers on therapy options.
• Maintain patient and prescription records in compliance with LVPS and OBRA regulations.
• Manage inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate stock levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy (required).
• Registered Pharmacist (RP) license in the State of Pennsylvania (required).
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license (required).
• Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.

Required skills

• Medication order review and therapeutic dosage assessment.
• IV therapy preparation and compounding techniques.
• Supervisory skills for technical staff and inventory management.
