About the role
The Nestlé USA Pharma Engineering Co‑Op provides a six‑month full‑time immersive experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) testing environment, giving students real‑world exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and continuous‑improvement projects.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate initiative and work cross‑functionally on value‑added projects.
- Recommend organizational actions focused on cost savings or operational efficiencies.
- Conduct quality, process‑improvement, and troubleshooting projects using basic problem‑solving or statistical analysis.
- Standardize work processes to improve operations and support training of new technicians.
- Support introduction of new technologies and processes, including hands‑on testing of equipment, facilities, and utilities.
- Optimize use of computerized systems and business tools to ensure high quality and efficiency.
- Participate in equipment‑failure investigations, metrology initiatives, and engineering documentation tasks.
- Contribute to safety initiatives.
Required profile
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, to be completed by Dec 2027 or Jun 2028.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical skills for data tracking and results analysis.
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Demonstrated learning agility and ability to deliver results on challenging assignments.
- Comfortable working with people in a laboratory setting.
- Available to participate from Jan 2027 to Jun 2027.
