Mechanical Design Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer position is based at Bosch’s research and development facility in Waltham, Massachusetts. The team of 25 engineers works in test and measurement labs and a prototype shop on advanced automotive thermal system projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop products for automotive thermal systems.
• Apply new air‑moving technologies to project applications.
• Develop and improve in‑house design and application tools.
• Design experiments and use measurement technologies to quantify part performance.
• Prototype, test, and iterate new designs.

Required profile

• BS degree in mechanical, aeronautical or ocean engineering.
• At least one year of relevant work or internship experience with hands‑on laboratory exposure.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and a self‑starter attitude.
• Knowledge of part design, testing, and strong mechanical aptitude.
