Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will join Bosch's research and development facility in Waltham, Massachusetts, working on advanced automotive thermal systems. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, test labs, and a prototype shop to create innovative products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop products for automotive thermal systems.
• Apply new air‑moving technologies to application projects.
• Develop and improve in‑house design and application tools.
• Design experiments and use measurement technologies to quantify part performance.
• Prototype, test, and iterate new designs.

Required profile

• BS degree in mechanical, aeronautical or ocean engineering.
• At least one year of relevant work or internship experience, including laboratory or hands‑on experience.
• Hands‑on approach with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and self‑starter attitude.

What we offer

• Base salary range $80,000‑$88,000 per year.
