Performance Media Analytics Analyst

About the role

Horizon Media, a marketing and advertising firm founded in 1989 and headquartered in New York City, is looking for an Analyst, Performance Media Analytics to support its clients within the PM Analytics department. The role helps build the company's analytics approach and infrastructure for existing clients and new business, combining an understanding of digital metrics (brand and direct response) with a track record of building analytic approaches across many clients.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate concise data points, trends and measurement strategies to technical and non-technical audiences (25%)
• Work with media planning and brand strategy teams to develop KPIs and reporting methodologies aligned with campaign and brand goals (25%)
• Set up data aggregation, cleansing and harmonization workflows and establish QA protocols for accuracy and granularity (25%)
• Build data visualizations and interactive dashboards that present information clearly (25%)
• Analyze reported data, filter out noise and deliver insights and optimization suggestions to internal and external clients

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with the ability to explain findings to others
• Independent worker with strong time management and organization skills
• Problem solver who collaborates well in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and able to follow through
• Creative approach to learning about digital advertising, media strategy and measurement
• 1-2 years of data and analytics or paid media experience preferred

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of data structuring with KNIME, SQL, R and Python preferred
• Tableau or similar dashboarding tools preferred
• Ability to turn technical findings into clear explanations for non-experts
